Fall Workshop Grants for Students The Florida and Caribbean Chapter of SLA is offering student workshop grants that will reimburse student registration fees as well as travel expenses of up to $100 to attend the Libraries of the Future workshop in Lakeland on November 13. The Chapter may award up to five student grants to qualified applicants. Please use the link below to the SLA Florida & Caribbean Chapter web site for the student grant application: STUDENT ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible for this grant to attend a Florida and Caribbean Chapter workshop, you must be an accepted candidate for the master's degree at one of the ALA accredited schools of library science in the state of Florida or the Caribbean and be a member of Special Libraries Association or an SLA student group. Part-time and/or off-campus students are eligible as well as full-time and resident students. GUIDELINES: Please submit the attached Student Application for Workshop Grant form. Electronic submissions are required. Registration by November 5, 2009 will include a guaranteed lunch reservation.
