Affirmative Action SLA Scholarship Awarded to Valdivia

Ximena Valdivia received the Affirmative Action SLA Scholarship Award in June at the annual conference in Washington D.C.. Ximena is employed with the University Of Miami, Otto G. Richter Library, Cataloging And Metadata Services and is a master's student at the University of South Florida, School of Library and Information Studies.

The Affirmative Action Scholarship is granted only for graduate study in librarianship leading to a master's degree at a recognized school of library or information science. One US$ 6,000 Affirmative Action Scholarship is available each year. The official announcement and the presentation of the award was made at the Association's Annual Conference in June.
